This page explains what data we receive when you visit the website of Riviera Life Hospital for Psychiatry and Addiction Treatment or contact us through it, why we need it, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. We write it plainly, because people who message us are usually writing about something personal and sensitive, and they have a right to know where their words go.
Who we are
The website belongs to Riviera Life Hospital, a hospital licensed by the Egyptian Ministry of Health under number 1427 and located in Sheikh Zayed City, Giza Governorate. The hospital is responsible for the data that reaches it through this website.
The data we receive
When you fill in the contact form
- Your name, or any name you choose for us to call you by.
- Your phone number and country code, so we can call you back.
- Your email address if you add it, which is optional.
- Whether you are asking about yourself or someone close to you, and the type of enquiry you chose.
- The text of your message, and the link of the page you sent the form from.
We do not ask you for a diagnosis or medical details in the form, so write only what you are comfortable saying. Medical details are discussed later with the doctor, and they are covered by the confidentiality of the medical file inside the hospital.
When you call us or message us on WhatsApp
We receive your number and what you write or say in the conversation, and the reception and contact team handles it with the same confidentiality that applies to the form.
While you browse the website
We use Google tools to measure visits, through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, to know the number of visitors, the most-read pages and where visits come from. These tools work with cookies and collect general technical data such as device type, browser and approximate region, and we do not link it to your name or your message. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings without affecting your reading of the content.
To protect against automated spam, the form uses a temporary encrypted fingerprint derived from the connection address to limit how many times it can be sent. The address itself is not saved in the record of your message.
Why we use your data
- To answer your enquiry and arrange the consultation or assessment you asked for.
- To follow up on that same request if we could not reach you the first time.
- To improve the website’s content and understand what visitors are looking for, using aggregated figures that do not reveal anyone’s identity.
We do not sell your data, rent it out, or use it for marketing messages you did not ask for.
Who sees your data
The content of the form reaches only the hospital’s dedicated contact team, through a protected administration panel and internal email. We do not share your data with any outside party, except the technical service providers that run the website on our behalf, such as hosting, the content delivery network and measurement tools, and only as far as running the service requires. The only exception is an official request from a competent judicial or government authority that Egyptian law makes binding.
How long we keep your data
Contact form records are deleted from the website automatically one year after they are received. If you become a patient at the hospital, what is needed moves to your medical file and is kept according to the applicable rules for keeping medical records.
Protecting your data
The whole website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), messages are saved in a private status that is never shown publicly, and only named people can enter the administration panel. Everyone who works at the hospital is bound by professional confidentiality towards patients and their families. Even so, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we advise you not to write in the form what you don’t need to write.
Your rights
Under the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you have the right to know what data of yours we hold, and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or for us to stop contacting you. Send your request from the same number or email you contacted us with, so we can be sure the request comes from you, and we will reply as soon as possible.
Children and minors
Enquiries about treatment for someone under eighteen are made through their guardian or an adult member of their family. If we learn that a minor has sent their own data, we contact their family or delete the message, according to what their safety requires.
